What is a Transit Rack VS an Oven Rack
An oven rack is designed to withstand the high temperatures of the oven. The rack usually has some type of bracket at the top of the rack that allows it to be carried by the oven rack lift mechanism. Oven racks can be aluminum or stainless steel and are usually the more expensive of the two. Used Oven racks are usually in need of new casters (hi - temp casters)
A transit rack is NOT designed to go into an oven, but used for storing goods, proofing or refrigeration. Transit racks can be aluminum or stainless steel. Used transit racks are usually the less expensive of the two.
