Once
your item is placed on the truck for
shipment, it is no longer the responsibility
of Bakery Equipment.com. Should your
item be damaged during shipment, without
freight insurance, the freight company is
only obligated to pay approximately .10
cents on the dollar for the loss.
That means if you paid $5,000.00 for your
piece of equipment, they may only pay you
$500 for your loss.
Freight
insurance is an extra expense and usually
runs around $30-$75 depending on the
item. We will be happy to include
this in your quote, so you can decide if
you want the insurance added.
Another
important note about freight. PLEASE
inspect your item prior to receiving and
signing it for it upon delivery. Once the
truck leaves, freight damage claims can be
very time consuming and inconvenient.
Bakery
Equipment.com uses a variety of freight
companies to pick up and deliver
equipment.
